Wooden spoons with a story

Ashlee Wiggins’ wooden spoons are the centerpieces of my kitchen! She set up her own creative business ‘Made of Embers’ in 2016.

“Wood is my thing, you see. I write and draw on this wonderful, natural material with a red-hot pen. I just love my job! I develop my creative skills every day. And every day I have the chance to make beautiful things for other people. There’s nothing in the world better than that.”

Ashlee takes inspiration from her direct environment. From her office, she looks out over a beautiful garden full of nature. So it’s no surprise that her designs are full of plants and flowers.

I gave my mother a beautiful wooden spoon like this as a little gift, just because. I got a big hug in return.
